According to Mr. Sunil Kamerkar, Founder & Chairman, ARMM Forum, “The Indian industry is currently losing crores of rupees due to C-level leadership turning a blind eye to the importance of plant machinery safety, reliability & maintenance. About 50% companies in India don’t have or don’t use a maintenance work planning system. This has resulted in severe tragedies such as Fukushima, Bhopal gas tragedy in the past. Keeping this in mind, we have founded ARMM forum, a community formed to create a platform where maintenance and reliability engineers can express their concerns and learn from experts. ARMM conference 2010 was like raising curtains from the present problems in the maintenance industry. We have learnt from our past experience and are back with better elucidation. I am confident that the two day conference will be an eye opener to the top level management but it will also make the professionals aware of the problems prevalent in the maintenance industry.”
ARMM Forum is a platform where maintenance and reliability professionals can network with peers and experts share their experiences and learn on the best practices and trends in asset reliability and maintenance management. It is aimed at promoting awareness about the need for adhering to the best practices of maintenance management and the challenges faced by maintenance professionals in order to persuade the C-Level executives to adopt ARMM.
ARMM Forum conducts various events and conferences to discuss and debate various practices in maintenance management. Asset Reliability and Maintenance Management essentially benefits companies by increasing productivity and asset life, reducing costs and equipment purchases etc. Effective ARMM solutions are necessary for asset intensive enterprises to realise their business goals.
